Jean Farrar, who has lectured on nutrition
at Eisenhower Hospital in Rancho Mirage, California, and
the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California, recently
shared some of her excellent recipes with us.
Banana Breakfast
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon (15 ml) sunflower seeds
4 pecans
4 almonds
1/2 cup (125 ml) pineapple juice
2 slices ginger
1 slice tofu, 1/2 inch thick
You can use any combination of nuts you desire.
Mix the ingredients in the blender to produce a high-protein
creamy, smooth mixture.

Pour the banana breakfast over cooked
brown rice, or a millet, rice and buckwheat cake. This
is a high-protein, high-energy breakfast that keeps you
going all day.
